Summit on Philanthropy

Celebrating philanthropy in our community

Thursday, November 3, 2022 | 6 - 8 p.m.  | VBC South Hall  | 700 Monroe Street, Huntsville, AL

The thirteen annual Summit on Philanthropy will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This event celebrates and inspires local generosity, including honoring the recipients of the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville’s Community Philanthropy Awards.  This award is presented annually to honor an individual or family that exemplifies the spirit of generosity in our community.

This year, Cindi and Bob Ludwig have been selected as the Community Philanthropy Award to recognize their philanthropic support of numerous local charitable organizations including Camp Maranatha, Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, Crisis Services of North Alabama, Huntsville Botanical Gardens, National Children’s Advocacy Center, Second Mile, and Village of Promise among many others. This award will honor the Ludwigs for their exceptional generosity demonstrated through donated time, talent, and direct financial support. Their generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles in their community, supporting the causes they care about most.

The Summit on Philanthropy will follow CDC guidance. For information regarding the Community Foundation's COVID assumption of risk policy, click here.
